Cheryl Winch
Senior Associate
Cheryl Winch has over 20 years of experience conducting research studies in the energy industry. She provides leadership in the areas of research and survey design, project management, sampling, statistical analysis, and reporting focused on demand-side management, smart grid, renewable energy, product design, and customer preferences. Her expertise includes survey research methods, process evaluation, behavioral aspects of energy use, customer satisfaction and experience, messaging, marketing communications, energy equity, new product concept testing, customer choice analytics, willingness to pay, and market characterization. She manages portfolio-level utility program evaluation projects, designs research methods, implements research data collection, leads teams, and applies research outcomes to deliver actionable recommendations for improving programs; increasing participation, customer awareness, satisfaction, and energy savings; assessing market potential in new products and technologies; and reducing energy burden for income eligible end users.
Prior to joining Cadmus, Cheryl led energy market research for Xcel Energy, where she conducted customer research on advertising awareness, branding, and energy efficiency program design preferences using surveys, interviews, focus groups, and ethnographic research methods.
Cheryl holds a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
