Bill Curtis-Davidson

Bill Curtis-Davidson is a senior specialist who leads projects in Cadmus’ strategy and transformation service area for U.S. public sector clients, where he leverages over 20 years of experience in change management, communication and engagement, technology and innovation, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), and accessibility. In this role, he convenes Think Tanks and develops multi-stakeholder communities, provides policy and consultative services, develops resources to help organizations adopt policies and business practices, helps develop industry standards and practices for technology accessibility, and shares best practices in a variety of public conferences and forums.   

Prior to Cadmus, Bill served in several consulting roles largely focused on bringing about large-scale change through the development of standards, innovative products, and strategic organizational transformation to advance technology accessibility and workplace inclusion for people with disabilities. His diverse roles have included serving as a strategic advisor to the XR Access Initiative, leading the strategy and implementation of Magic Leap’s first accessibility program, and consulting for dozens of Level Access clients as they built accessibility programs and innovative accessible products. Bill also spent 15 years at IBM where he helped architect accessibility research technologies, partnered with government/NGO/standards development organizations to develop accessibility standards, provided inclusive design leadership, developed accessibility services offerings, and led the delivery of complex public and private sector accessibility and user experience projects.   

Bill has a master’s degree in digital media from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from the Atlanta College of Art. He is professionally certified in “Foundations of Independent Audit of AI Systems (FIAAIS)” and “Disability Inclusion & Accessibility (DI&A)” from ForHumanity and “Successfully Managing People” from American Management Association. Bill received a 2022 Service to the Citizen: Champions of Change™ Award and was also named one of HDI’s Top 25 Thought Leaders of 2023, both recognizing his impact in removing barriers to workplace inclusion for people with disabilities through accessible technology initiatives.

Bill is a member of the External Advisory Board of the Georgia Tech Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Degree Program, is a ForHumanity Fellow, and is a member of the Partnership on AI’s Global Task Force on Inclusive AI. He also volunteers as a mentor in LGBT Tech’s PATHS Program, whose goal is to create visibility for LGBTQ+ individuals working in STEAM and empower LGBTQ+ youth and young adults to pursue their passions in STEAM fields.
