Cadmus Receives National Designation as Best Workplaces for Commuters in 2018
Achievement marks firm’s 15th year among top 1 percent of U.S. businesses that meet National Standard of Excellence in commuter benefits
WALTHAM, Mass., January 31, 2018—The Cadmus Group LLC (Cadmus), a leading consultancy in energy, homeland security and all-hazard preparedness, climate, the natural and built environments, sustainable transportation, public health, and international development, has been named one of the Best Workplaces for CommutersSM in 2018 for offering exceptional employee-provided commuter benefits that meet the National Standard of Excellence criteria. Cadmus has been among the Best Workplaces for Commuters since 2004.
“It’s an honor for Cadmus to once again be recognized as one of the Best Workplaces for Commuters,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline. “Ensuring that the way our employees travel to work has a positive impact on their quality of life is a huge priority for our firm. Cadmus’ award-winning employee transportation incentives help us attract and retain top talent by actively supporting the healthy, sustainable communities we value so highly.”
Six Cadmus offices met the criteria for BWC designation, which require that at least 14 percent of employees use alternatives to driving alone to work within a 12-month period: Arlington, Va.; Bethesda, Md.; Boulder, Co.; Portland, Ore.; Waltham, Mass.; and Washington, D.C. Cadmus offers employees several innovative, industry-leading commuter benefits, including:
- Public transit subsidy of up to $160 per month for the purchase of a public transportation pass
- Up to $100 each year toward the purchase of a bike, helmet, tune-up, or purchase of a bike share program membership
- Generous telecommute policy
“Cadmus is on the cutting edge of a national movement,” said Julie Bond, Program Manager, Best Workplaces for Commuters. “They have listened to their employees’ challenges with traffic congestion and their concerns over reducing emissions. By offering a range of commuter benefits, Cadmus gives its employees the support they need to get to and from work so they can be at their best. These benefits are good for the company and its employees.”
The Best Workplaces for Commuters program offers designated organizations access to a range of support services to assess and promote non-driving commuting of employees, including organizational assessment and implementation tool-kits, web-based tools and webinars, staff training, and information exchange.
