Cadmus Congratulates Dennis Lauer on Chief Information Officer of the Year Award
Recognized by WashingtonExec for Outstanding Private Sector Accomplishments
Arlington, Va., June 4, 2021—Cadmus Chief Information Officer (CIO) Dennis Lauer has been selected by WashingtonExec as the 2021 CIO of the Year in the private sector category, a designation that was announced at a ceremony held on May 27, 2021.
“My warmest congratulations go to Dennis on this extremely well-deserved recognition,” said President and CEO Ian Kline. “I couldn’t be happier for him or more grateful for the immense contributions he’s made to Cadmus and our clients.”
In his tenure at Cadmus, Lauer has led multiple initiatives that have transformed the organization’s operations and directly contributed to its growth over the last two years. Accomplishments by Cadmus’ IT department under Lauer’s leadership include establishing Cadmus’ cybersecurity program, modernizing corporate infrastructure and enabling a seamless transition to an entirely remote workforce from March 2020 to the present, and developing an enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence system to enable corporate performance monitoring and reporting.
Lauer also spearheaded the development of advanced analytics capabilities that have enabled subject matter experts from across Cadmus to deliver more efficient and comprehensive solutions and predictive insights. In addition, the capabilities Lauer developed allow the Cadmus team to meet client needs by massively scaling data processing to billions of records. This also translates into a scalable, on-demand computing environment across the entire organization.
In an interview, Lauer stated, “The people I work with are the foundation of my success. Having the confidence of the executive leadership team and their commitment to resources is crucial, the multi-disciplined CIO team makes it all happen, and our engaged stakeholders keep us driving to take the next, most innovative step.”
