Cadmus Boulder Office Achieves LEED Gold Certification from U.S. Green Building Council
Green Building Certification Reflects Cadmus’ Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility
Boulder, Colo., August 20, 2021—Cadmus is proud to announce that its office in Boulder, Colo., has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design™ Gold certification. Boulder joins Cadmus offices in Arlington, Va., Waltham, Mass., and Portland, Ore., that have become LEED certified under the Interior Design and Construction rating system as a result of custom renovations by Cadmus.
The LEED green building program is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building types, LEED provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification, administered by the U.S. Green Building Council®, is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership.
Features of the Boulder office and Cadmus policies that helped achieve the LEED Gold certification include:
- An office building that was designed to operate at net-zero energy
- Access to, and policies that support, alternative transportation, including free local bus passes and free access to community bicycles for Boulder Cadmus staff
- Facility amenities and secure bike storage to allow for convenient bike commuting and recreational activities
- ENERGY STAR® appliances
