Amy Ellsworth

Amy Ellsworth is a strategic planner and clean energy expert who has worked with utilities, local and regional governments, and nongovernmental organizations to advance renewable energy, energy efficiency, demand response, and decarbonization for more than 30 years.
An experienced project leader and problem solver, Amy is an expert in energy markets and policy, utility program planning and evaluation, and sustainable technologies. She has helped design clean energy program portfolios that save millions of kWh annually and has crafted strategies that guide the direction of some of the largest utilities in the United States. Amy applies her deep understanding of consumer behavior, program design best practices, and regulatory and stakeholder dynamics to develop clean energy program strategies that align with utilities’ regulatory obligations and corporate objectives. She supports clients in navigating regulatory filings, preparing testimony and serving as an expert witness, negotiating settlements, and developing operating strategies. She is an experienced facilitator, adept at working with large groups of stakeholders with diverse objectives to facilitate discussion, identify areas of common interest, and reach consensus.
As vice president of Cadmus’ Energy Services Division, Amy focuses on strategic planning and program optimization support. She holds a master’s degree in environmental policy and management from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
