Darlene Irby Adesalu leads the economy engagement and private sector development service area in Cadmus’ international development division. With over 20 years of experience in the implementation of digital technology and digital transformation, she has applied innovative and responsible digital solutions across priority sectors, including health, economics, education, climate, governance, and humanitarian assistance.
Darlene also serves as the Director of the Digital Forward project, Cadmus’ largest USAID program.
Darlene’s work as a global digital expert has forged partnerships between governments, the private sector, technology firms, and international organizations across Africa, Asia, MENA (Middle East and North Africa), where she has spearheaded initiatives to bridge the digital divide and foster inclusive growth. Through strategic partnerships with governments, international organizations, local stakeholders, and partner countries, she has championed the adoption of innovative technologies to address pressing societal issues, from improving access in remote communities to enhancing digital literacy.
