Corey Nelson
Principal
Corey Nelson is a principal in Cadmus’ international service area overseeing elements of environment, climate, energy, and resilient infrastructure program delivery and business development. She is responsible for establishing and leading the overall technical direction, strategy, and management of a portfolio of donor-funded initiatives. She is a risk, sustainability, and marketing expert with 18 years’ experience directing business coalitions working toward climate action and more sustainable practices; driving international transformation for multi-million donor-funded initiatives that support the development of inclusive resilient networks. She is committed to empowering communities, cities, and organizations to better adapt, respond, and prepare for the impacts of climate change.
Corey advises governments, the private sector, and communities on climate risk, design, and implementation of sustainability strategies and setting an environmental vision that combines bold performance metrics and science-based targets with comprehensive strategies to address environmental challenges. She engages decision-makers through innovative policy, technical, and financial solutions for the protection and management of natural capital investments. She has worked in more than 20 countries, with her regional focus being Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
Corey has a master’s in sustainable development and a master’s in anthropology (ABT) from the University of Denver, and an MBA in sustainable branding and social impact marketing from Marylhurst University in Oregon.
