Supercharging Jamaica’s Electric Vehicle Strategy
In partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Xergy Energy, JAMECO, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Cadmus is supporting the Government of Jamaica with advancing its Strategic Framework for Electric Mobility. The project provides resources for establishing an electric mobility ecosystem in Jamaica, is conducting a fleet feasibility assessment and providing technical assistance and training for battery-electric technologies (BEVs).
In December 2021, MSET and IDB co-hosted a public webinar to invite a dialogue about Jamaica’s electric vehicle landscape, strategies to increase electric vehicle uptake, and present an overview of IDB and MSET’s BEV initiative. Cadmus’ Xantha Bruso moderated the event and was joined by representatives from financial services, Jamaican government ministries, and local EV retailers and distributors.
Cadmus continues to support this project by conducting a fleet assessments and feasibility study, and providing communications and e-mobility events as part of the electric mobility agenda.
